Voorlopig nog geen iPad-onderwijs op basisschool Lodijke in Bergen op Zoom

BERGEN OP ZOOM – Onderzoekscommissie bezorgd: landelijke organisaties rond 04NT zijn geen betrouwbare partner voor de school op de Bergse Plaat.

Brede school Lodijke op de Bergse Plaat ziet voorlopig af van volledige invoering van Onderwijs voor een Nieuwe Tijd (04NT), bij publiek bekend als iPad-onderwijs. Schooldirecteur Rinus Davidse spreekt van een ‘heroverweging’.

Aanleiding zijn de bevindingen van een onafhankelijke onderzoekscommissie die grote twijfels heeft over de financiële continuïteit van de landelijke organisaties die 04NT aanbieden.

Het onderwijsconcept, waarbij leerlingen op eigen niveau en in eigen tempo werken, zou na de zomervakantie van start gaan. Dat is tot nader orde uitgesteld. ,,Heel vervelend, maar we nemen geen enkel risico. Het imago van Lodijke moet goed blijven”, aldus Davidse.

Voorzitter Theo Terdu van de onderzoekscommissie bevestigt dat zondagmiddag aan de directie van Lodijke is geadviseerd om ‘zeer terughoudend’ te zijn met de invoering van 04NT.

De commissie van vijf ouders van Lodijke en een externe fiscalist maakt zich grote zorgen over de vermogenspositie van de landelijke organisaties van 04NT en hun aanjager Maurice de Hond. Als Lodijke in zee gaat met de landelijke stichting, moet er een meerjarig contract worden afgesloten. Dat is dan inclusief een ondersteunend ict-platform.

Maar als het financieel mis gaat, valt mogelijk ook het ict-platform weg. Met als gevolg dat de iPads op Lodijke op zwart gaan en de school helemaal onthand is. Dat laten we niet gebeuren”, meldt Davidse.

Terdu hamert er ook op dat (onderwijs)data over leerlingen altijd eigendom moeten blijven van de school.

Docenten en directie van Lodijke waren enthousiast geworden over 04NT omdat het maatwerk biedt voor iedere leerling. Met één blik op de iPad kunnen docenten de vorderingen van leerlingen volgen waardoor ze hun lestijd veel effectiever en efficiënter kunnen inzetten.

In twee Plusklassen (voor hoogbegaafde kinderen) op Lodijke, wordt al zo gewerkt. Dat blijft ook. Davidse benadrukt dat het idee achter 04NT niet ter discussie staat. ,,Als we de afspraken niet kunnen aanpassen, moeten we op zoek naar een andere betrouwbare partner.”

Terdu legt het rapport ter beoordeling voor aan Maurice de Hond zelf.

Eind deze week komt het vermoedelijk officieel naar buiten.
